Help us support a local Foodbank at our Newcastle Boiler Shop Gig
As part of our Newcastle gig at the The Boiler Shop on November 15th, we’re asking everybody in attendance (if possible) to bring an item of food as part of a collection for the Tyneside-based Hospitality and Hope Foodbank.
Food poverty is a tragic and unnecessary problem in our country and we’d like to help Hospitality and Hope with the fantastic work they do in the community.
We’re going to be donating our catering budget from the gig and it would be great if you could please have a look at the list below and maybe consider donating something yourself.
FOODSTUFFS: Long Life Milk (UHT), Coffee /Tea, Boxed Cereals, Tinned Meat/Fish, Tinned Beans/Tomatoes/Spaghetti, Tinned Veg, Tinned Potatoes, Tinned Ready Meals, Dried Foods (pulses/pasta/rice) & Baby Food.
Also, TOILETRIES: Deodorant, Shampoo, Sanitary Products, Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Soap, Shower Gels, etc.
The amount of food waste created by the entertainment industry through unwanted and sometimes frivolous artist ‘riders’ is something that we feel needs to be looked at. Moving forward, we’d really like other bands and performers to get involved in donating whole or parts of their catering budget to local foodbanks.
Anyway, such an idea has to start somewhere so this is our first small step and if you can be part of this that would be brilliant.
